1) What does the Foundation support?

research and enhanced patient care at St. Paul's Hospital.

5) I want to leave St. Paul’s a bequest in my will – what
is the next step?
If you intend to leave a gift in your will - large or small - to St.
Paul's Hospital Foundation of Vancouver (this is our proper legal name),
the process is very straightforward. It is simply a matter of preparing
a will or codicil and including a phrase about your intention. Please
click here for some sample phrases.
6) Can I donate securities (e.g. stock or mutual funds) rather than
cash?
Yes. The federal government's 2006 budget has eliminated the capital gains tax you would normally pay on the profits of selling publicly listed securities, providing you donate these securities directly to a registered Canadian public charity like St. Paul's Hospital Foundation. You will still receive a charitable receipt for the full market value of the donated securities, so this new change extends your tax savings even further. (Before this development, donors paid a portion of the capital gains tax when making a charitable donation of securities that had appreciated in value.) always been a top priority. The personal information you provide us
is used solely to process the donation, maintain a record of contributions
and keep you informed of the latest news and fundraising initiatives
at the Foundation. We do not trade or sell donor names.
